This week Becky McGraw visits the blog. Becky writes hot contemporary western romance and romantic suspense. She has two new releases out, WHERE THERE'S SMOKE, which is part of the 12-Alarm Cowboy Boxed Set, and SEALED FATE, the first book in her new Deep Six Security series. Both came out the same day, August 4th 2015. Today I asked her one question about what spurred her paranormal SWAT series.
BBTF: Where did you get the inspiration for your new Deep Six Security series?
Becky: My new Deep Six Security series is actually a character spin-off from my Texas Trouble series which is a twelve-book western romantic suspense series. Dave Logan, the owner of Deep Six Security, who is the main character in the new erotic romantic suspense series, actually appeared in several of my Texas Trouble books to help the cowboy characters out of sticky situations. Readers loved him and his hot men so much they started demanding their stories, but I had a problem. Logan and his men were all former military, he was an ex-cop, and although they lived in Dallas, none of them were cowboys. They just didn't fit into the Trouble series. I loved Dave too and thought he and his badass sidekicks would make for good reading, so I gave them their own non-cowboy series.
Sounds like a good reason to start a new series, Becky. You can find out more about Becky McGraw's books on her website, especially her new releases WHERE THERE'S SMOKE and SEALED FATE. Be sure to buy a book and tell a friend. Happy reading!
